Patience (Do I have it?)

Waiting seems to be the hardest part. There is nothing I can do, no one I can push for an answer, I just have to wait......patiently.

This should be an interesting concept for me, I am not sure I am patient with much. So this will be yet another test that I go through to see if I am prepared for motherhood. I sure hope I pass this one.

In the meantime, I continue to prepare the house for his arrival. We still have lots of little things to do around the house and yard. Still working on getting the walls done in the hallway and the edges in on the floor board. It's a slow process but we will get it done. I think I need to create myself a project list so I can focus on one area at a time.  I need to get my mind occupied enough that this isn't all I focus on until I hear something.

Let the patience begin.......................NOW

New Donation site

While applying for adoption grants, I was given this new donation site for friends/strangers to be able to donate money to the cause. With this application, I have to receive at least one donation prior to me being able to apply for the grant. I have applied for several grants, but will not hear from them unless I actually receive the money. I will continue to do what I have to, just to make sure I am covered for the fees.

What I am asking is for you to share my blog with anyone and everyone. Maybe there are angels out there looking for someone to help, and they can only find me through you.

Here is the link to the page,  https://www.adopttogether.org/kayleenskidquest,  but it also will come up if you click on the "Click here to donate" to the right of my entries.

I can say thank you every day for the rest of my life and still won't feel that I have covered how I feel for all of the support, the help, and the confidence boosting that has happened along my journey.

Waiting for him, who is worth waiting for

Just a quick update this morning. My dossier is officially being reviewed by the Haitian government. No sure how long or detailed this process is, so we are in a holding pattern until we hear back from them. This is definitely a step forward, so we are happy with this and I am willing to be patient. I know this isn't a lot of news, but it's all I have at this time. Hang in there with me, as soon as I know something I will post an update.

In the meantime, all my focus has been turned to making sure I have all the money needed when the time comes to move forward. Because of this focus, I have posted some items on KSL and Facebook in hopes that people may know someone looking for any of these and might be willing to purchase them.

I currently have the following items for sale - Please see links for details:

Roll top desk-https://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=29031928&cat=361

Game table- https://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=29295042&cat=224)

I have also applied for some grants, but those will take a while to hear back from, and only if I am approved will I hear from them. They are never a guarantee, but I will apply for anything that might help me get this little boy home.

Of course I am always accepting cans and metals for recycling. (Every penny counts). If you have any you would like to bring by or have me come pick up, please let me know and I will be over. I am hoping to do a run this weekend.

I am still going through everything I own, so there may be more items up for sale soon. Please keep an eye out and please share if there is anyone you might think would be interested in any of the items.

Thank you all for your continued support in my quest to become a mama.
